On Saturday, October 19, during the Centennial Campaign Celebration at Alumni Weekend 2024, Webb announced the success of The Next 100: The Centennial Campaign.
Almost one year ahead of schedule, the Webb community has raised more than $200,625,000 in current and future gifts! The Centennial Campaign does not conclude until December 31, 2024, so there is still time to join in the success.
The Centennial Campaign was publicly launched in 2021 with an incredible $100M estate gift made by an alumnus. This gift, the fifth largest to an independent school in U.S. history, was the genesis for creating three distinct pillars of support: building Webb’s endowment, enhancing current operations, and investing in our physical campus.
As a result of this campaign, Webb had the resources to imagine a brand-new advanced studies curriculum created by our faculty that has redefined our approach to experiential learning.
That, in turn, sparked increased interest in Webb and has doubled the number of applications since our campaign began.
And we added 75 acres of undeveloped land to double the size of our campus home.
Webb’s endowment doubled, including scholarships for deserving students and funds for faculty support. Everywhere you look, there is evidence of the tremendous impact created by the Centennial Campaign.
The Centennial Campaign is four times larger than Webb’s previous campaign and almost ten times larger than the one before that.
Although more than 60% of this campaign is from future gifts, when they are realized, Webb’s financial resources will be similar to our peers. The experiences our students enjoy are made possible by such funds.
Webb is here because of the incredible vision, fortitude, and care demonstrated by those in our first 100 years. And because of the generosity shown by the community, Webb is poised to set the standard of excellence for the next 100.
The Next 100: The Centennial Campaign ends on December 31, 2024. There is still time to be a part of this historic moment in time. Join us with a gift to Webb or the Alf Museum today. Give now at webb.org/donate.
