Nestled in the lower slopes of the San Gabriel Mountains about 40 miles east of downtown Los Angeles.

Founded in 1887 and located along the old Route 66, Claremont is a thriving, environmentally conscious community known for its tree-lined streets, historic buildings, and world-renowned Claremont Colleges. Claremont is frequently listed as one of the best places to live in the United States.
